Nearly $20,000 for students in 2024

At the June 2024 Elmwood High School graduation ceremony, the EHS Legacy Fund was pleased to present the following awards.

12 EHS Legacy Fund bursaries of $1,000:

• Ibukunoluwa Omosehin - The Boughton Scholarship of $1,500

• Desiet Girmay and Gabriel Velasquez - The Val Harder Memorial Scholarship of $1,200 each 

• Sameem Ahmad - The Bill Petrie Memorial Football Scholarship of $1,000 

• Alexis Kemp - The Babb Family Scholarship of $500 

Our golfers continue to help school projects 

Each year the proceeds from our July golf tournament support Elmwood High students. In 2024 we funded the following two worthwhile endeavours:

• In April, the EHS Varsity Boys' basketball team won the provincial title for the very first time! We funded a celebration and skills clinic to help honour this outstanding achievement. 

• In October, the EHS woodshop requested funding to help them purchase much-needed new equipment for students. We provided $1,000 to help with their costs.
