Our focus is helping students
The Elmwood High Legacy Fund was established to help graduating students pursue their post-secondary education dreams.
Initial funds were raised during Elmwood High’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2008. Our first student bursaries were awarded in 2009.
Our history of giving
We have come a long way from small beginnings in 2009 – and yet, our bursaries and scholarships still cover just a fraction of student tuition costs. Each dollar you give will help us to do more.
Since 2009:
We have awarded $106,000 in bursaries
We have awarded $35,000 in scholarships
We have supported 19 Elmwood High School projects for a total of $14,490
(Totals as of June 2024)

The Elmwood High School Legacy Fund acknowledges that in Winnipeg, the places in which we gather are on Treaty 1 territory, the homeland of the Red River Métis, and the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, and Dakota Oyate peoples.
We respect the spirit and intent of treaties, and we conduct our activities with a commitment to reconciliation and collaboration with Indigenous communities.
